In the city of Aktobe the republican forum "Aktobe - a fertile land" was held within the framework of the state program for the modernization of public consciousness. The purpose of the event is to introduce visitors from more than 20 countries of the world to the cultural and economic life of one of the largest regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Baltic reader, I think, will be interested to learn that once there was part of the Great Silk Road in these parts, and now the route of the global transcontinental transport corridor "Western China - Western Europe" is passing through the Aktobe region. In the land of this, truly blessed land, there are valuable minerals from, almost, the entire table of Mendeleyev. For decades, the largest enterprises of the oil and gas industry have been successfully operating, coal, chromite, phosphorite, aluminum and nickel ore are extracted and processed there. The economy of the region continues to move forward. Here, in the broad steppes, new industrial zones arise, enterprises with the newest technologies are being built. It is no accident that the region was named the country's president as the locomotive of Kazakhstan's economy.

The basis of any achievements - in sport, in culture, in the social sphere, always - economy, business. In the Aktobe region, in Aktobe itself - a large number of enterprises that have been preserved since the time of the USSR, but long ago reconstructed, modernized. Fortunately, the reserves of chrome, gold, silver, nickel, oil and gas are not exhausted. Competent use of mineral resources is a guarantee of long-term prosperity of the region.

The growth of the economy depends, according to the akim of the region Berdybek Saparbayev, on attracting investments. In his speech at the opening of the forum, he noted that annually more than a billion dollars are coming to the region, which is the best indicator in Kazakhstan. The task set by the head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev is to ensure an annual economic growth of at least 4%.

What has been seen makes it possible to judge that the future of this region is secured for many years. Moreover, the region's leadership is expanding its economic growth opportunities. On the outskirts of Aktobe, a new industrial zone was recently created. The fact is that the steppes in the vicinity of the capital of the second largest region of Kazakhstan - this is literally a non-plowed field for investment. Under the development of a new cluster area of 200 hectares is allocated. And 150 of them are already occupied.

The main advantage of this place is its proximity to the transport corridor "Western China - Western Europe". There is a motorway laid, and two railway branches are brought to the industrial zone.

Believe me, when you see in the bare field of the enterprise, working and already making profit - this is an argument in favor of the prospects for investment in a rapidly developing region. It attracts the fact that the industrial infrastructure is ready here, and even more important is that the prices for communal tariffs are low, land plots are provided free of charge for 4 years, followed by renting or redemption at a cadastral value. There are many other benefits - just invest. The development of the zone is managed by the joint-stock company National Company Socially-Entrepreneurship Corporation "Aktobe". The attractiveness of this project, its bright prospects was convincingly told by the chief manager of the business projects department Timur Junelbaev.

But not only the video presentation impressed the guests. Indeed, it was interesting to see firsthand, for example, how the tires are disposed of in a small Talan Technology enterprise. According to General Director Vasily Lagizov, in the long term it will be possible to completely turn out old tires into useful products - not only in the coating for children's playgrounds, as now, but also in solid paving slabs, and in other materials with a 10-year guarantee of use . Moreover, all products will be environmentally friendly. In the case of rubber, the textile component and even the metal cord of tires that have worked.

Soon in the industrial zone "Aktobe" the factory for the production of ceramic tiles Zerde ceramics Aktobe, created according to the latest word of Italian technologies by businessmen from Kazakhstan's Shymkent will come into operation. True, for the time being there are walls and a roof of the shop, but you can be sure that here in the near future will produce not only this. In the near future - the manufacture of wind turbine parts at the new United Energy Aktobe. Next to the gas filling station for the storage of liquefied gas, and an electrometallurgical plant for the production of metal blanks and other projects.

Giants and unique "dwarfs"

In Soviet times I had to visit different cities of Kazakhstan, worked for several years in the present Atyrau (Guryev). A sign not by hearsay with large factories of those times. But the meetings in present-day Aktobe, visiting such giants as TNK Kazkhrom, Aktobe railroad plant forced to look at the present Kazakhstan somewhat differently. It is evident that the movement is in line with modern world trends - not just investments, but also the introduction of the most modern production technologies. Metallurgy is one of the oldest productions. And in the world there are few successful concerns that dictate their conditions in combination with access to deposits of valuable ore reserves. Kazakhstan in this sense is lucky - there are both fossils and enterprises that process valuable raw materials.

Director of Aktyubinsk Ferroalloy Plant Murat Mukashev gave a detailed account of the history of the oldest enterprise, its present day and prospects. Chromium ore deposits in the Aktobe region are the largest in the world. The quality of the ore in terms of chromium content is incomparably higher than anywhere else. And the Aktyubinsk Ferroalloy Plant, part of TNK Kazchrome, is the world's second largest producer of products whose value is growing year by year.

In 2010, the foundation was laid, and already in 2014 the most modern ferroalloy plant was put into operation, in the construction of which was invested 1 billion dollars. It already produces products at full capacity, being the second in the world in terms of supply volumes. The demand for raw materials for stainless steel is consistently high and growing: consumers from USA are waiting eagerly for every train from Aktobe. (It should be noted that ferrochrome is used not only in the manufacture of table forks and knives, but also in the construction of space vehicles). On the question of how the crisis affected the work of Kazkhrom M. Mukashev replied briefly - in any way! The average salary here is 165 thousand tenge (more than 400 euros), the annual social package for each factory worker is about 300 euros. Vacation - 30 days plus 10 for harmful working conditions.

Aktobe successfully operates the Aktyubinsk rail-track plant, which entered service in 2015 - one of the most advanced heavy industry industries. Deputy General Director for Production Konstantin Volkov spoke in detail about the production chain of output of running products - the so-called corner and railroad rails. Process management here is computerized. The company employs highly qualified specialists, carefully observes the quality level, and takes care of the environment. In the future expansion of both the assortment and delivery addresses. So far, the market is Kazakhstan. But not far off - Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan. In more distant plans - other countries in Asia, the European market.

One of the small enterprises that the Aktobe residents are proud of is the Caspian Sea Plus. It is small, but its advantage is that it produces very demanded in the mines products - fasteners for arches, using the know-how developed here. The most modern machines, trained personnel in Germany, the constant search for opportunities to expand the range is the basis of success. Zhandos Pangereev, the owner of the company, says that if you do not look forward, then in business you do not need to start anything. Thanks to the flexible policy of entering the market, the company managed to squeeze out Russian firms that had recently monopolized the locks for drilling rigs in Kazakhstan. Assistance in the formation of the company was provided by the state fund for business support "DAMU".

Soon the delegation of the Caspian Sea plus will go to negotiations in Germany at the invitation of the leadership of the famous Thyssen Group. (I must say that when the first sample of the product was sent for inspection to a special laboratory of a related company in Germany, then the Germans who were picky to the quality gasped: if they allowed a gap in the arch to 5 centimeters, in the arch of Kazakhstan people it was 0.5 centimeters! .. And to this day from this standard, the Caspian plus does not back down a single step). So, perhaps, this visit will start the creation of a joint venture.

To summarize, I would like to envy the Aktobe people in an amicable way: there is a city and a region to grow. Aktobe, with its wide avenues, good roads, is gradually expanding its borders. Where the wind has recently raised steppe dust, today there are residential quarters, pleasing to the eye palaces of culture, new kindergartens and sports grounds. The economy gives a stable growth with an unemployment rate of 4.8% (compare with the similar figure in Latvia!). But, in my opinion, the main thing is that here live real patriots of their land, their country, for whom the prosperity of the homeland is not an empty phrase.
