October 7, 2017 in the House of Friendship hosted the festival "We are together, we are one family", organized by the Ukrainian ethno-cultural center "Dnepro" with the support of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan in Zhambyl region. Ethnocultural associations of the region, residents and guests of the city gathered on this day in the festively decorated hall of the House of Friendship.

The path of Ukraine is marked by high steppe mounds and beautiful songs. The song, as a relay, transmits from generation to generation the historical truth about its people. Music was performed on the stage, both in the state and Ukrainian languages. The concert was attended by Lyubov Shakhova with the song "Days and Nights", the vocal group "Aigolek" with the song "Almaty", the Ukrainian popular song "Two Doubles" was performed by the vocal group "Garni Hlopci", the representative of the Tatar-Bashkir ethnocultural association Ruzalia Akhmetshina performed the Tatar folk song "Chabota".

In addition to the festival, there was also an exhibition of Ukrainian folk art. Of particular interest were puppets-motanki. Traditionally they do not have a face. A faceless doll is an inanimate thing. Stressing this, their ancestors believed that no one could harm a living person through it. Such a doll carries only a good beginning. When it is manufactured, a plot is made for each knot, for example, for marriage, for the birth of a child, for health, for happiness. These amulets protect the person, take on illnesses and misfortunes, help in affairs.

Congratulate the chairman of Fedor Klimenko and other members of the Ukrainian ethno-cultural center "Dnepro" came Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Zhambyl Region, Head of the Secretariat Marzhan Kozhaeva, Bahrom Muminov, chairman of the Uzbek ethno-cultural association of the Zhambyl region, and other representatives of the region's ECO.

The highlight of the festival was the baking of housewives. Baked products were revered in Ukraine from ancient times. In each house there was a stove, in which bread, buns, cakes and pies were baked. Pies in Ukrainian cuisine are large, fragrant, delicious, lush loaves with cherries, cottage cheese, apples, poppy seeds, potatoes and meat, cooked at home. They differ in incredible taste and aroma. And those present on our holiday were able to make sure of this, having tasted wonderful pies, rolls, pies and cakes. It showed the whole national component of the Ukrainian people. They are engaged in music, embroidery, and language development. And every ethnos has this opportunity thanks to the wise policy of our President. They can preserve and develop their culture. It should be noted that the festival was held with the aim of expanding cooperation and strengthening friendly ties between fraternal peoples.
