A whole series of events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site was conducted in the region in the framework of the manifest "Peace. XXI Century ", announced by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Washington, DC at the IVth Summit on Nuclear Safety.

- Living in a multicultural and multi-confessional state we stand up for the world without wars on our planet and conflicts that humanity faces with pure thoughts to the future. Not by chance the symbol "Ak oramal" is a white scarf, symbolizing life, motherhood and reconciliation. White color represents purity of soul, and the significance to the Kazakh people, - said the head of the regional secretariat of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan - Gulvira Kudaykulova. - In such a hectic time, we must strengthen spiritually to consolidate in our common to keep peace!

Mothers Board of the regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan visited marriage ceremony of Ruslan and Symbat Kulpeisov. After the couple exchanged rings and performed the wedding dance, Chairman of the Board of Mothers Shushanik Sargsyan congratulated Ruslan and Symbat, noting that "the world is created by men and maintained by women." Later wishing long and happy mutual life chairman of the city Mothers Council of Kostanay Marina Donskova presented the young couple with a  bouquet of white roses. The mother of five children Akzhan Altynbaev handed white scarf to the bride.

On August 29 representatives of ethno-cultural associations of the regional Friendship House, representatives from the city's department of education brought the flowers to the Victory Park at the monument to victims of political repression, and then headed to Kostanay perinatal center. Gulzhauhar Tulegenova – Mother-heroine presented flowers and white scarf to Aynur Zhumadilova.

- I waited seven years, for the first-born Ali Mansur and is very happy that my son was born on the eve of the Constitution Day – said Ainur with tears of joy in the eyes. - Of course, like any mother, I want all the children to live in peaceful and prosperous Kazakhstan, without nuclear tests, avoiding wars. We are brought to the world to enjoy life and not to suffer!

Later at KSE "Kogamdyk kelisim" was held a dialogue on the topic "Values ​​of the family". The participants were the members of the Mothers Council of Regional Assembly, representatives of the following sectors: education, psychology, professional and non-professional mediators, representatives of ethno-cultural associations and youth activists.
