NUR-SULTAN - Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan met with Emanuela Rossini, Deputy of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Italian Republic, in the House of Friendship.

During the meeting, Zhanseit Tuimebayev presented Nursultan Nazarbayev’s Kazakhstani model of social accord and national unity, introduced the activities of the House of Friendship and ethno-cultural associations of Nur-Sultan, as well as the issues of deepening and expanding bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Italy in the field of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

"There are 125 ethno-cultural centers in the country. The Assembly has representation in every region and the head of each regional assembly is a Mayor of the province. The Secretariat of the Assembly is part of the Executive Office of the President. The Chairman of Assembly of People of Kazakhstan is Nursultan Nazarbayev. 9 people from the Assembly can be elected to Mazhilis as deputies. There are also 40 friendship houses attached to the Assembly. All ethnic minorities of Kazakhstan have the right to develop their language, culture and traditions. There are 24 schools with Uzbek, Uighur, Tajik languages of study. As for the development of art culture, there are Russian, Uighur, German theatres. In Kazakhstan, 52 media representatives are registered from the ethno-cultural association. They cover information in 15 languages" Deputy Head of the Assembly said.

Emanuela Rossini, Italian Deputy arrived in Kazakhstan to participate in the Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments. In order to get acquainted with the education system in Kazakhstan, she visited school-lyceum No. 37.

After Emanuela Rossini knew that there are about 120 ethnic minorities living in Kazakhstan, she wanted to know what institution regulates the work of it. In the House of Friendship in Nur-Sultan she met with Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and got acquainted with the work of the organization.

"Friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Italy have been established. As I have worked in the field of education for long time, I visited secondary school. I was surprised that primary school students know English well. It was interesting to see schools with two language training. I also attended Gumilyov Eurasian National University.L. N. gumilyova, where Italian language is taught. So, I was amazed by multicultural society of your country and I visit the house of Friendship, where I am interested in the unity and cooperation of representatives of Kazakhstan ethnic minorities. I will share this experience in my country. This is an outstanding example of the peaceful existence of multicultural society in one country" the Italian Deputy said.
