June 24, 2017 in Almaty in the foothills of the Alatau in the archaeological park "Boraldy Saki Barrows" was held the II International Ethnocultural Festival "Yli dala ruhy" - "Spirit of the Great Steppe", in which representatives of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan Russia, Slovakia, USA, Turkey.

The event was attended by the Almaty akim Baibek BK, the director of KSU "Kogamdyk kelisim" the apparatus of the Akim of Almaty city Murunova Zh.Sh., the head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Almaty, Balginbaev NA, the chairmen of the ethno-cultural associations of Almaty and others.

Guests of the festival were able to admire the skills of professional Berkutchi, dzhigitovkoy horsemen and kokparistov, archers and batyrs, play national games, try the national dishes that exhibited ethno-cultural associations in Almaty. "Yli dala ruhy" gave an opportunity to everyone who wanted to get acquainted with the rich heritage of Kazakhs and other Turkic peoples.

Within two days visitors of the festival had an opportunity to see from inside the life of nomads and the arrangement of their life, to get acquainted with the historically recreated traditions and rituals associated with all spheres of Kazakh life, learn the secrets of the craftsmanship of ancient artisans and try to work with felt, leather, silver, clay Preserved since ancient times.
