September 30, 2016 in Astana, in the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan (11, Dostyk Street) was held an enlarged meeting of the Assembly of Kazakhstan Mediation Center of the people on the prevention and resolution of conflicts.

The meeting was attended by deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament, representatives of the Supreme Court, heads of offices of mediation Friendship Houses, professional and social mediators, and a member of the APK public consent.

Vice-President - Head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Tugzhanov E.L. moderated the plenary session, and noted that in the APK Development Concept until 2025 the development of the country mediation institutions designated as one of the new directions of the Assembly. In order to coordinate the development of mediation, the Assembly is working on the formation and development of the institute of social mediators and professional development of preventive mediation in the regulation of social conflicts. Today's meeting is devoted to the systematization of this work.

The Center of Mediation of the APK was created, in the Friend Houses opened 17 offices of mediation, 12 mediation councils are working in regions. As a result of collaboration with the judiciary this year Assembly mediators resolved 8876 disputes.

In his report Abdіrayym Bakytzhan Zharylkasynuly, the deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan stressed that although the word "mediation" new, mediation is used since ancient times, the court biys are the example. After adoption of "On Mediation" Law changes have been made to some legislative acts, which positively contributed to the development of mediation.

Chairman of the Corporate Fund Board of Trustees of "Social Partnership Center" at the JSC "National Welfare Fund" Samruk-Kazyna" Erimbetov Nurlan Kenzhebekovich said that their organization in the last 4 years actively engaged in mediation; produced books and manuals. He suggested that the need to prepare the regional mediators.

Suleimenov Ulbolsyn Azhdarovna, Judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan told about the implementation of the Memorandum on mutual cooperation between the APK and the Supreme Court; Savitskaya Tatiana, a psychologist, a lawyer, a professional mediator, trainer on mediation and psychology, study of mediation Karaganda Friendship House has acted on "New approaches in the development of mediation under the auspices of the APK", Raisova Balgul Amangeldievna , a member of the supreme judicial Council of Kazakhstan, told about domestic and foreign experience on mediation issues.

The participants discussed about the basic mechanisms of interaction between the APK offices mediation with the central and local governments as well as civil institutions; the role of mediation in the judicial system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, opportunities and prospects for cooperation between the judiciary mediation offices of the APK; the need to develop concrete proposals and recommendations on the development of mediation APK Center.

In order to improve the efficiency of work of Kazakhstan people's Assembly to coordinate the development of mediation Mediation Center of the APK has been reformatted by creating a Mediation Council of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. Chairman of the Board elected Әbdіrayym Baқytzhan Zharylқasynұly , the deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of the Board of the APK.
