Here the perfect pre-Christmas time has come, the waiting time before the Christmas holiday, during which Christians are prepared for the holiday. It is called "1 Advent." How much more joyful and light we all await in this period, Nikolaus with his entourage and gifts will come soon to all the kiddies. As part of the holiday in the House of Friendship in Pavlodar, members of the Pavlodar regional society "Revival" held a regional competition "The holiday comes to us" for the knowledge of Christmas traditions.

A good tradition in the public association «Pavlodar regional society of Germans" Revival" was the meeting at the First Advent with members of the society, small and large, with luxurious bows and severe hair-do. Lighting candles in a friendly community: a sense of unity, anticipation of the beautiful holiday with the smell of pine needles, tangerine, cinnamon and unforgettable thrill of the Christmas miracle expectation - these non-transferable emotions were filled with the hearts of all those present in the hall.

The cozy, almost homely atmosphere in one of the most beautiful halls of the city made a holiday truly royal. Beautiful Christmas compositions of branches and needles, apples and boots of St. Nicholas, beautiful bows and snow, tinsel and candy were not without the Krippenspiel installation - scenes of the birth of Christ, traditionally it should be installed in each family, and, of course, Adventskranz, which was lighted with the first candle with the wishes of peace, warmth, happiness and all the good and light.

An unusual was the meeting of the First Advent. As part of the holiday the regional stage of the German tradition competition "Holiday comes to us" was held, initiated and organized by the Association of public associations of Germans of Kazakhstan "Wiedergeburt" and regional society of Germans "Revival". The competition is held to promote the unique culture and traditions of Kazakhstan Germans and designed for the participation of members of German regional organizations who are interested in learning the German language, German traditions and customs of the German people. This kind of creative competition between children, young people and adults in the knowledge and preservation of German identity. For the first time in this day branches of society with their compositions and songs were gathered. The competition was attended by teams from the villages of Uspenka, Scherbakty and Rozovka, the cities of Pavlodar, Aksu and Ekibastuz.

Dancing and singing little angels from Aksu gained the hearts of the audience, Nelly Straub from Ekibastuz charmed with her voice, strict, life experience wise team «Weidchen» from Uspenka was memorable. And the transformation of a simple fireplace into Christmas on the stage was unforgettable, which was shown by young people from the village of Rozovka. Sherbakty people surprised everybody with creative colored rain, and, of course, "Weihnachten in Familie" - Pavlodar team composition conquered the jury and audience.

The winners of the competition were the team from Pavlodar, prepared by Shabuldaeva Nadezhda, a stunning Christmas wreath was made by Mintz Lyudmila. 2nd place was shared by centers of meetings of Uspenka and Sherbakty villages, 3rd place - teams from Ekibastuz, Pavlodar region and Rozovka.

Parents and children together took part in making ornaments, and Christmas dinner was served at the end of the holiday. All event guests were plunged into a warm Christmas holiday atmosphere in the family.
