September 23, 2016 in the House of Friendship in Almaty was the start of the annual International Assembly of People of Kazakhstan's cultural project "Conversations on the Silk Road" - "Central Asia: solidarity and consent of the peoples of the region", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by well-known scientific figures of Kazakhstan, international experts: Leading scientists from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and members of the Scientific Advisory Board and the Scientific and expert groups of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, the APK departments, representatives of ethno-cultural associations, media.

At the start of the project was held a briefing for representatives of media.

At the end of the briefing, the project activities were continued in Kerbulak district of Almaty region. Project participants went to lay flowers at the monument of Shokan Valikhanov, got acquainted with the history of the route of the Silk Road and the historic district, and visited Zheldykara (Hill "Genghis Khan").

Upon arrival in Taldykorgan participants visited the Zhetysu State University named after I.Zhansugurov, where they laid flowers at the monument.

One of the participants, the head of the international project "Conversations on the Silk Road", a cultural and public figure Murat Auezov in his speech shared his joy that the jubilee project "Conversations on the Silk Road" takes place in a beautiful corner of the country - in Semirechye, the home of the most brilliant figure of Kazakh literature Ilias Zhansugurov. Murat Muhtarovich said about his versatility, his original talent. "His poetry is full of deep thoughts, a great feeling of citizenship. It is vitally truthful, highly spiritualized dream ", - he said.

Next, the participants got acquainted with the museum and the university library. As part of the campaign "Tendessiz syi" ERN APK members presented a friendly team of the University some interesting books.

The first day of the project was completed with action "Tagzym" in the regional literary museum of Ilyas Zhansugurov. Especially for the participants of the International project "Conversations on the Silk Road" tour of the museum of the famous writer was organized to express themselves in different genres of literature.

The international cultural project "Conversations on the Silk Road" is held annually since 2007 with the participation of the Central Asian region.

The seminar is held in the form of an open, trusting conversation with the analysis of the main problems and finding their solutions.

The purpose of the project - contribute to the strengthening of comprehensive relations between the countries and peoples of the Central Asian region, the preservation of common cultural and general historical values ​​in the context of intercultural dialogue.
