Kazakh identity
ALMATY, November 5, 2014, 11:00 a.m. Convention hall of National library of the RK was a presentation of the monograph «The Kazakh identity» written by the chairman of Scientific-and-expert group under APK of Almaty, Dr. phil. Mukhtarbek Shaykemelev Seyd-Aliyevich. The presentation was carried out with assistance of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan (Almaty), members of Scientific-and-expert group of Almaty and National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The author of the monograph discloses the concept of the Kazakh identity as understanding of open and tolerant culture of the Kazakhs which should become a fundamental link fastening cultures of people of Kazakhstan. Mukhtarbek Shaykemelev notes that the model of the national and state construction based on identification of Kazakhs as the state forming ethnos and whose culture and language should become a basis of civil consolidation of nationwide interests and modern civil society would be the most appropriate model for Kazakhstan.
As the moderator of the presentation Kan Georgi Vasilyevich, a member of the Scientific-and-expert group under APK of Almaty, Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor, asked for opening speech Abdaliyeva Margarita Abubakirovna, the head of the Secretariat of APK of Almaty. Among the speakers also were the following people: a member of the Scientific-and-expert group APK of Almaty, professor Kadyrzhanov R. K., a chairman of the "Irnykhas" Ossetian cultural and educational center Mamsurov K.V., a chairman of the Turkmen cultural center Annakuliyeva G. A., and a head of analytical and methodical department of KSU of Almaty akim administration, PhD, Makhmutov D. S.
