International Forum "Memory for Future" dedicated to Victims of Political Repression Remembrance Day established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is held in the capital. 

Within the framework of International forum "Memory for Future" Department of Assembly of People of Kazakhstan has organized a meeting with participants of a forum. 

Victims of Political Repression Remembrance Day is one of the most significant dates in the history of sovereign Kazakhstan. In difficult time our republic became a place of deportation of representatives of different ethnicities. The wave of political repressions covered thousands of Kazakh families and the project "Memory for future" is a tribute to those who survived this tragedy.

The lesson of peace was held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Tatyana Polyanskaya, the senior research officer of GULAG History of Museum from Moscow, Head of Department of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of Pavlodar State University, Head of Department of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Saule Mamytova, Head of Department of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of North Kazakhstan State University Lyudmila Grivennaya, member of the Scientific and Expert Council of APK Mainura Buribayeva and others met with the students and teaching staff of the department. 

Anatoly Bashmakov, Head of APK’s Deparetment moderated the meeting. He introduced the activity of the department and has noticed that at present time 42 department of APK have been already established. 

   Head of Department noted the important role of Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in maintenance of favorable political situation in the country. According to him, institutes of the Assembly solve acute social questions, media centers are created, there are all conditions for preservation of traditions, languages for representatives of all ethnic minorities.
In particular, the successful experience of Kazakhstan in the development of interethnic accord and memory of the victims of the totalitarian regime was emphasized by the guest from Moscow, Tatyana Polyanskaya. 

Within the framework of the international forum, there was held an excursion to the Museum of the history of the education system of Kazakhstan for the participants of the meeting. Delegates got acquainted with the history of the Museum building, as well as with the exposition of rarities.
