On the 12-th of April, at the initiative of Meyrambek Kiikuly Kiikov, the chairman of the public association "Kazakh language and culture", with the support of the Interregional Department of “SevKaznedra” of the Committee for Geology and Subsoil Use, the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the support of Kokshetau University named after Abai Myrzahmetov a scientific and practical seminar was held on the theme: "life example", dedicated to the founder of science of Kazakhstan, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, the doctor of geology -Mineralogical Sciences, Academician K.I. Satpayev.

The purpose of the event is the example and achievements of the great scientist of the 20th century, the patriot of his country and his homeland, the citizen from the capital Kanysh Satpaev, to educate and give direction to the development of the younger generation of our country.

The event was attended by students of schools, universities, representatives of the RP of the party "Nur Otan", the regional department of internal policy, the assembly of peoples, labor veterans and the media.

The meeting was opened by the leading, candidate of legal sciences, Professor Nurmukhanbet D.Y. Then the head of the regional department of internal policy Mysyralimova Aina Ermekovna in her opening speech congratulated participants with the day of science and with the birthday of the great son of his people Kanysh Imantaevich Satpaev (118th anniversary). Satpaev M.I. Kiikov presented a brief overview of the life path of a talented and extraordinary person who deserved the title of "genius of science" Kanysh Satpaev and his well-deserved works. The deputy head of the interregional department of SevKaznedra, Karibaev Zhanat Kairbekovich, acquainted with the ongoing work in the field of geology of Kazakhstan and SevKaznedra. Pupils of secondary school №18 told about childhood, and student of Kokshetau University named after Abai Myrzakhmetov with a specialty "History" Bekmagambetov Kanat talked about the students' years of the great scientist K.I. Satpayev. Teachers of this university, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Bulatov Nurzhan Kazhmuratovich and teacher Elyubayev Rizzat Berikovich made reports on the topics "K.I. Satpayev is the founder of science in Kazakhstan" and "Scientific discoveries in the field of geology. Satpayev", then was presented for viewing G. Meirbekova’s documentary about the scientist "Line of Destiny". Also the favorite musical works of the scientist were performed by the artist of the regional philharmonic Hasenov Sarsembay. The scientific and practical seminar ended with the awarding of letters of gratitude to students and teachers who were active in carrying out this event.

The regional library named after Magzhan Zhumabayev organized an exhibition of books on the life and work of Kanysh Imantaevich Satpaev. In the final part, the event ended with the laying of flowers on the monument of the great scientist, state and public figure Kanysh Imantaevich Satpaev.
