February 6, 2018 in the House of Friendship there was a meeting of the Club of Journalists on issues of interethnic relations with the APK of Atyrau region.
The main editors of the regional socio-political newspapers "Prikaspiyskaya Kommuna" and "Atyrau", journalism veterans, members of the Club of Journalists, a total of 15 people were invited to the meeting.
Opening the meeting, Head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of the Atyrau region G.Shakirova noted that the role of the media in public policy propaganda has become more effective, our journalists need to change the format, methods of filing and disseminating information. Ethnojournalism should become one of the effective channels for shaping public opinion on important national topics. Journalists of the ethnic media should not be confined within their own publications and audiences. They must constantly be present on the pages and on the air of the central mass media.
Also on the agenda was discussed and approved the work plan for 2018 and the new staff of the Club of Journalists. To expand and strengthen the scope of activities, the Club has significantly expanded its membership. To date, 12 journalists are members of the Club of Journalists, they are journalists of regional and city media that cover the topic of the Assembly, interethnic accord.
The club of journalists under the Atyrau regional APK was established in 2014 and is an organizational structure uniting journalists on a voluntary basis, whose sphere of professional interests is covering the issues of the state national policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, propaganda of interethnic accord, and Kazakhstani patriotism.
