Kostanay Regional Council of Mothers held an action "Holiday family lunch". One of the priority directions of activity of the Council of Mothers is work with large families and the families which have got in a difficult life situation.

"We consider a large family as a reference model of a traditional family. It is in such an atmosphere, among sisters and brothers, that children learn love, work, skills of caring for the younger, mutual help, understanding and friendship. On the other hand, they are responsible parents, who show how to build relationships in the family and society by their example. Therefore, we decided to organize a holiday for families with many children," says Shushanik Sargsyan, Chairman of the Council of Mothers.

The initiative of the Council of Mothers was supported by 8 socially responsible restaurants and cafes of the city, which decided to help large families on the Children's Day. On the eve of the holiday, four institutions organized the delivery of food packages.

Bags of potatoes, flour, sunflower oil, fruit and sweets were distributed to 26 large families in Kostanay.

On June 1, family lunches were held in four more restaurants and cafes, where more than 65 people - 11 families and 10 pupils of the Adaptation Center were treated.

"The aim of the action is not just to treat the children to a tasty meal, but also to show what a restaurant is, because not every family can afford to go to such a place. The program also included meetings with chefs, excursions to the kitchen, master classes on serving and the ability to use cutlery," Shushanik Sarkisyan said.
