In 2017 the mutual decision of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and akim of Kostanai region Archimed Muhambetov Republican Sabantuy will be held at Kostanay area.

This has once again the chairman of the Tatar-Bashkir communities "Duslyk" Kostanay region Rinad Bektemirov managed to personally talk to at a meeting with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan in Astana.

- We have established relationship with their historical homeland, where we annually at the invitation of “Idel” Youth Center will send their children to the traditional profile change for Tatar children "Millatebez hazinalare" - "National Treasure." The two-week camp with youth activists, who come from all corners of Russia, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries, learn the language, culture, customs and traditions of the Tatar people, - says Rinad Valtaevich. - Today's meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov was held with the participation of all the chairmen of Tatar communities in Kazakhstan. The meeting was focused on the development and preservation of the Tatar culture, language and strengthening of relations between Kazakhstan and Tatarstan. Within the framework of this meeting, we have not only talked about the activities of our ethno-cultural associations, but also presented their projects aimed at promoting the Tatar culture in Kazakhstan.

I presented our project of leader of the youth wing Valery Gumirova titled "The excursion route "Tatars in the history of Kostanay". The names of the Tatar intelligentsia, craftsmen and traders are inextricably linked with the history of our regional center and still at the hearing in Kostanai. Look at the building, where is now located KSU "Kogamdyk kelesim" and the Regional History Museum. This is former trading house – passage of Yaushev brothers, which was built by known Troicki merchants at the beginning of the XX century. At his own expense patrons Yaushev also built Ak-mosque, noted recently the 125-year anniversary.

This is one of the oldest and most beautiful mosques, business card of Kostanay. By the way, the last mullah, who served in the Ak-mosque, was a Tatar Abdulahat Kadyrov. In 1937 he was arrested and shot. Only 22 years later he was rehabilitated. In the regional center there is a whole area called "Narimanovka" (and previously "Tatar Sloboda"), densely populated with Tatars and Bashkirs. By tradition the community "Duslyk" every spring and autumn organizes Saturday in the old Muslim cemetery, where our ancestors are buried. I wish that this all did not forget the younger generation, because our city Kostanay was always multiethnic, multi-faceted and multi-lingual!
