School of mediation opened by the Mediation office of the APK at KSU "Kogamdyk Kelisim", Akimat Executive office of Zhambyl oblast has conducted a training workshop on "Ethno-cultural mediation" for mediators working on a non-professional basis.

The seminar was attended by APK members, chairmen and leaders of ethnic and cultural associations, professional mediators of the Center of Mediation and Law "Bitimger" members of Council of elders, Council of mothers, mediators’ manager.

The purpose of the workshop – to introduce and train non-professional competences of mediation to amateur mediators, representatives of ethno-cultural associations, which promote the development of mediation as a mechanism for preventing, resolving social and legal conflicts, further cooperation and strengthen the identity and unity of the people in the country.

During the training, a welcoming speech to the workshop has been acted by the mediators’ manager of KSU "Kogamdyk Kelisim", Valentina Dosybieva.

A professional mediator, member of the Council of the mediators of the APK- L.Safonova held a training session. She noted that this event contributes to the development of mediation institute of Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in social-important area – inter-ethnic relations.

The seminar contained a training course on "Training program on mediation for mediators working on a non-professional basis." This training took part in an interactive format. During the training were used mini-lectures, brainstorming, discussions, practical exercises, role-playing, video-cases, and simulated mediations with individual feedback.
