The master class of Gulbara Nurkanova, a member of the Association of Masters of Folk Decorative and Applied Creativity under the Akmola APK, was held at KGU "Kogmadyk kelіsim". Its participants were students of universities in Kokshetau - the guys were making a souvenir "Yurt from felt". At the beginning of the master class Gulbara Namazbekovna all acquainted with the history of the appearance of the traditional Kazakh dwelling, its species: the yurt - one of the oldest types of mobile homes adapted to the nomadic way of life. The origin of a felt yurt is associated with cattle breeding. Yurts are mostly distinguished by a clear hemispheric form and a spherical vault.

Altynay Kulzhanova, an expert in the development of folk decorative and applied art, told about the peculiarities of the interior of the yurt of youth. Then all together began to work. Under the guidance of Gulbara Nurkanova, felting turned into beautiful yurts. At the end of the master class, its participants were able to carry souvenir yurts home as a gift.
