The long awaited Tatar folk festival "Sabantui" was held on June 20, 2015 in complex on the left bank of ethnovillage. In the year of the 20th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, a festive day began with the inauguration of the monument to the Hero of the Great Patriotic War Musa Jalil.

Minister of Culture of Tatarstan Sibagatullin Ayrat Minnimulovich, First Deputy Chairman of the World Congress of Tatars Shakirov Danis Fanisovich, deputy of Mazhilis of Parliament of RK Ferkho Svetlana Ivanovna, Vice-consul of General Russian Embassy in Ust-Kamenogorsk city Botareva Nataliya Mikhailovna, president of "Idel" - the Association of Tatar ethno unions in Kazakhstan Ishmuratov Gabdulkhai Muhametkalievich, akimat of city and East Kazakhstan region, representatives of ethno-cultural associations as guests of honor attended the opening of the monument. Everyone considered duty to lay flowers at the monument in memory of the hero Musa Jalil.

Sabantuy holiday started after commemoration ceremony. On the main stage of ethnovillage activities were awarded with medals and certificates by Minister of Culture of Tatarstan A.M. Sibagatullin and Deputy Akim of East Kazakhstan region Zh. Omar. The celebration continued folk festivals, on the stage sounded songs performed by guests from Tatarstan, guests of ethno-cultural organizations from region and city. In the neighboring areas were traditional sports: Tatar wrestling (tatarsha kuryash), lifting weights, arm wrestling and walking on log. For younger participants it was organized different entertainments as sack races, running on stilts and etc. At the end of the festival sports results were summed up and active participants awarded prizes and souvenirs. According to tradition, sheep was presented for the first-place winner in the fight. All participants could taste national dishes and share impressions.
