One of the main values is respect for the old and the elderly. We respect them for their wisdom, knowledge, fortitude and most importantly, the experience that they can pass on to us. We must be able to sympathize, empathize, to support these people while they are alive when they are hard. And it does not necessarily have to be your mother grandparent.

October 5, 2016 in the "House of Friendship" in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the elderly Day was a sports and entertainment competition among the elderly. The founder of the competition is the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Mangistau region. Was organized by KSU «Kogamdyk kelesim» youth organization "Zhas Kanat" APK MO and Mangistau oblast branch of "Zhas Otan" youth wing.

The main aim of the competition - is the active participation of older people in public life, to be in close contact with the environment.

The competition consisted of three stages: a greeting, a demonstration of traditions and customs and talent competition. It was attended by 8 grandparents of different ethnic groups. They are actively demonstrating their talents, despite his age. Have fun singing and dancing as the young girls and boys.

During the festive evening finalist of the international festival "Shekarasyz an" Islam Murzaev dedicated contestants songs, and a member of the Public Association "Kazakh tili" Mangistau region Uzilhan Zhanbyrbaevna read the poem "Atama". Also dance ensemble "Kyzgaldak" delighted the audience folk dances. All participants were very satisfied with the event.

At the end of the competition the head of KSU «Kogamdyk kelesim» of akim of Mangistau oblast Dzhaylhanova Amangul and jury members congratulated the elderly on the occasion and awarded the participants of the contest in different categories and valuable gifts.
