Eurasian National University named arter L.N. Gumilev held Memorial Day of outstanding Tatar composer, Hero of Socialist Labor, People's Artist of USSR State Prize winner, Professor Nazib Gayazovich Zhiganov in 2^nd of June 2015 in Astana.

The event was organized by: private foundation "Nazib Zhiganov’s International constellation", PA "Association of Tatar and Tatar-Bashkir social and cultural center" “Idel”, with the support of the Plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, scientific-educational Center of the Institute named after Kayum Nasyri of Kazan Federal University.

During the meeting sounded excerpts from operas and ballets written by composer, had an opportunity to get acquainted with video materials about the life and work of N.G. Zhiganov.

The head of the fund "Nazib Zhiganova’s International constellation" Tenisheva Svetlana told: "Nazib Gayazovich has taken a worthy place in the world of musical culture in XX-century. His creative activity raised Tatar music to high level of and made special contribution to the culture of the Turkic peoples". The main aim of our found is to study N.G. Zhiganov’s life and promotion of creative heritage, to develop Tatar musical culture, international cooperation and expansion of cultural ties, enhancing the cultural, moral and esthetic level of children and youth, support of creative abilities of young talents.

"The art of people should not develop in isolation. The art viability only when it is actively cooperating with other cultures"- Svetlana Vladimirovna quoted N.G. Zhiganov.

At the end of the event the deputy of Mazhilis Sayapova Zuhra Aleutdinovna said: "Only the miraculous power of music can touch a chord and create a personality as Nazib Zhiganov. We proud of outstanding composer, whose works included into the treasury of world music, he is our compatriot. Our duty - cares for his literary heritage and pay with people’s appreciation".

At the end of the evening there was a general photography and tea with traditional Tatar-Bashkir treats.
