On June 1, 2017, the Council of Mothers at the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan in Almaty and the KSU "Public contracts" of the Mayor of Almaty with the support of the deputy group of Maslikhat "Yntymak", heads of ethno-cultural associations in the big hall of the "Astana" hotel held a celebration for 100 children with disabilities.

June 1 - International Children's Day, is celebrated in all countries since 1950, this is the first day of summer, the first day of holidays, and indifferent people, represented by deputies and leaders of ethno-cultural associations, made efforts to make this holiday felt by children who cannot learn in ordinary schools for health reasons, they cannot play like ordinary children. Providing exactly this opportunity was the main goal of the organizers and sponsors. June 1 is one of the most joyful holidays for children, and, at the same time, the opportunity for parents to give joy and love to their children, this holiday is also a reminder that children require care and protection. Lists of children from low-income families were provided by the district employment and social programs departments of Almaty.

Children with disabilities for this festive event came along with their parents. For them, a table was laid with various treats, fruits, sweets, a concert was organized with the participation of the Kazakh State Circus, animators and artists were invited. In addition, the dance ensemble "Elegant Flowers" performed at the event, which gave presenters incendiary dances such as "Andijan Polka", "Indian dance" and others.

The organizers of this event tried to show that this holiday is common for all children, and everyone should celebrate it, despite the limited opportunities.

In addition to the festive concert, an exhibition of drawings and handicrafts, which were painted and made by invited children, was organized. No child left empty-handed, they were given various surprises, prizes and gifts.

A big surprise for children was a 15-kilogram cake from the managing director of the InterContinental Almaty Hotel, Hakan Demircheken.
