Within the framework of the project "Days of Ethnicities" with the participation of KGU "Kogamdyk kelіsim" of the staff of the WKR Akim in the House of Friendship of Uralsk, the Day of Culture of the Azerbaijani Ethnos took place.

The event was held within the framework of the implementation of N.Nazarbayev's program article: "A look into the future: modernization of public consciousness" and with the aim of acquaint the general public with the culture of the Azerbaijani people.

In the West Kazakhstan region there are more than 1500 representatives of the Azerbaijani ethnos, who work in virtually all sectors of the economy. Great contribution brings Azerbaijani IVF in the cause of charity, for many years a patron of a special school - boarding school №15 with intellectual disabilities. By the way, the children from this school came to the evening and performed the dances of the people living in Kazakhstan. An exhibition of applied arts, books, national dishes, a video about the life of Azerbaijan in the West Kazakhstan region was organized. Representatives of ethno-cultural associations of the region, members of the APK WKR, structural subdivisions, deputies of the Urals city maslikhat are invited to the holiday.

The participants were congratulated by the heads of the ECO APK WKR headed by the Deputy Chairman of the APK WKR with Gaisoi Kapakov. Gaisa Hamedullovich congratulated the audience on the upcoming Day of the First President and noted the role of the Head of State's policy in uniting all ethnic groups under one "Shanyrak", in the common house - the Republic of Kazakhstan. Then the leader of the Armenian ethnocultural association Avetik Amirkhanyan, who noted the diligence of the Azerbaijani people and that all conditions for peaceful living of all ethnic groups were created in Kazakhstan.

The deputy of the city maslikhat, the general director of the media holding "Zhaik press" made a short digression into history and noted that in the distant 1911 the alashordians of the western wing Gumar Karash and Yelusin Buyrin turned to the big businessman of that time from Baku, Maecenas Zeynel-Gabiden Tagiyev, helped to release the newspaper "Kazakhstan", this once again proves that the friendship of the Kazakhs and Azerbaidzhan is rooted in the past centuries.

Within the framework of the festival, contests of drawings, essays, a contest of young talents were held in the city schools. During the festive event, letters of thanks and memorable gifts were presented to the authors of the best works, active members of the Azerbaijani ethno-cultural association.
