Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of the Mangystau region and Korean Ethno-cultural Association "Choson" held a joint event on the occasion of May 31 – Remembrance Day of Victims of Political Repression and Famine.

Members of the "Joseon" ethno-cultural association, representatives of APK of Mangystau region, as well as members of "Association of Koreans of Kazakhstan" who came from all corners of the republic laid flowers at the monument to one of the prominent statesmen - Zhalau Mynbayev.

Also, an exhibition entitled "Heritage of the Great Steppe" and "Korean motives" was held in the House of Friendship. Works of various art studios were presented at the exhibition. The culmination of the events was the ritual, which particularly touched the hearts of the audience.

In the framework of the project "Kazaktanu", in continuation of the festive event, in accordance with Kazakh custom "Тusaukeser", Chairman of Association of Koreans of Kazakhstan Sergey Ogay held a ceremony for a young child, who had just begun to make his first steps - cutting fetters on his feet, symbolizing the beginning of a new stage in the life of the child - the ability to walk, learn the world.
