The republican action " Ulttyń saz baıraǵy - Dombyra" devoted to National Dombra Day which is marked this year for the second time took place in Almaty.

Head of Secretariat of Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in Almaty Nazar Balgimbayev, director of "Kogamdyk Kelisim" MPI of the mayor’s office of Almaty Shokan Tazhmuratov, members of Almaty’s APK, deputy group "Yntymak", members of Council of mothers visited city maternity hospitals No. 2, 3, 5 and handed over the dombra to first eleven newborns. In honor of the holiday, the songs "Zhan anam" and "Anashym" with wishes of kindness were sung and flowers were given for mothers.

Also among the greetings were Chairmen of the Turkish, Russian, Ingush, Ossetian, Uyghur, Afghan, Buryat, Azerbaijani and Dungan ethno-cultural associations, as well as members of the deputy group "Yntymak" under APK of Almaty.

The granddaughter of the great poet Mukagali Makatayev was also born on this festive day. Thanking everybody, she gave her grandfather's books to the guests with great hospitality. Among the mothers who gave birth on that day were representatives of Korean, Russian and Uighur nationalities.
