The award found a hero

20 years ago, the young Slavic Center for the first time organized a "Memory Watch". And for many years within the framework of the action "Not fought we remember"  - participants of the center are doing a great job of collecting materials about our grandfathers, are included in programs aimed at preserving the original documents and historical facts of those terrible years of 1941-1945.

Every year fewer and fewer next to us are those whom we would like to say "THANK YOU!", But there are children and grandchildren who do not remain indifferent to the history of their kind and family.

On December 7, an unusual meeting took place in the conference hall of KGU "Kogamdyk kelisim" of the apparatus of the akim of Pavlodar region, as a continuation of this amazing "Watch of Memory" and we witnessed how we should cherish these values.

As the chairman of the Slavic Cultural Center Kuzina Tatyana Ivanovna noted, for various reasons, those who they rightly belong to were not awarded - there was a war, moving from one position to another, captivity, hospitals, missing ... For various reasons, the awards themselves were lost , but the orders of the Commander-in-Chief are still preserved and today for descendants it is possible to duplicate the certificates of those awards.

On that day, many decades later, the certificate for the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree was handed to the son of veteran of the Great Patriotic War Botchin Zachar Georgievich, Bochin Viktor Zakharovich. The certificate handover ceremony attended Attaché Consulate General of Russia in Ust-Kamenogorsk Lapach Daniil Andreevich. Presenting the award, Daniil Andreevich noted that the hero is not only Bochin Zakhar Georgievich but his son Bochin Victor Zakharovich who contributed to preserving the memory of the heroic deeds of our ancestors.

In his speech, Viktor Zakharovich Botchin thanked the attache of the Russian Consulate General in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Lapach Daniil Andreevich, and shared with the guests the history of his family and how he learned that his father was presented for the award of the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

"Even before the war, after the graduation from the Leningrad Agricultural Institute, my father moved to the Pavlodar region. When he was drafted into the army, in 1943, our family had three children. He fought until the end of the war. After the war he had six more children. He worked here all his life in the field of agriculture as a livestock specialist. Passed away from life in 1979. Today is a big holiday for us, another reason to remember my father, my grandfather for many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. But I would like this day to be remembered not only personally by my father, but also by those who fought for the victory. Our and the future generation is the main guardian of the past. It is important to remember those who defended the country and kept the peace in our land, - said Victor Zaharovich. He also added that the award was found by him absolutely randomly on the website "The Feat of the People". On the same site, a request was made and after a while he received an answer.

The memory of the war is a memory of our ancestors, their exploits, heroism on the front and in the rear, their love and morality. It is in our power not to forget about the price of that war and try our best to do so that nothing like this in the history of mankind ever again happens.
