The InterContinental Hotel hosted a press conference dedicated to summing up the results of the Republican contest of children's drawings "Let's draw a fairy tale!".

Drawings winners will be included in the book as illustrations to the plot of the fairy tale. As a result, a book created by children for children will be published. The competition was held from June 3 to August 15, 2017. After completing the collection of drawings, a jury meeting was held, which determined the work of 15 winners. The author of the fairy tale "The Brave Vaccine" is the philologist, Honored Teacher of the RK Mukhan Kuatbaev.

"The idea of ​​creating a fairy tale book was born during the writing of a memoir book by my father, in which he described the history of his family," said Auntutul Kuatbaeva, president of the public association "Vaccinology." "My father is the 14th child in the family. Of the 15 children - my father's brothers and sisters - only three survived, and the reason for this was a periodic outbreak of infectious diseases. After all, vaccination was actively introduced in Kazakhstan only in the early 40-ies. Before the introduction of vaccination, infections not only carried away thousands of lives and mowed large families, there was a large percentage of disability of those who could survive. Now the father has 21 grandchildren and he understands what kind of happiness, when your loved ones near you. He first wrote this story for his grandchildren, to convey to them knowledge and understanding, how important it is to take care of their health from childhood, and to explain to their grandchildren that there is an invisible evil against which one can be vaccinated and that children are not afraid of a shot ".

Children from 3 to 8 years took part in the competition. The fairy tale and conditions of the contest were published on the site www.konkurs.nmo.kz., Children could choose one of five topics and send their masterpiece to an email address. Also, children's playgrounds for drawing in large shopping centers in the cities of Almaty, Astana, Aktau, Karaganda, Shymkent were organized within the framework of the competition.

"Age from 3 to 8 years for participants of the contest was not chosen by chance - it is during this period that an active laying of knowledge about medicine and health takes place. The project was organized by public associations "Scientific Medical Society" and "Vaccinology" with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the branch of Pfizer Export B.V. in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mega Park, Mega Silkway, Next Entertainment Center.

During the press conference the jury announced the names of the winners. The favorites for the online voting were also determined, which was held from August 16 to 23, 2017.

The book will be presented during the social and medical forum "Believe and Live", which will be held November 17-18, 2017 in Almaty. At the moment, the organizers of the contest are in search of partners for printing and replicating the book-fairy tale, in order to distribute it in polyclinics and libraries.
