In the framework of the project "Days of ethnic groups culture", the House of Friendship of West - Kazakhstan region, with the support of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan held a celebration of the Uighur culture.

During the celebration of the Uighur Culture Day, the audience talked about the country's achievements during the years of Independence, on the main task of all citizens - on the preservation of peace, on unity and harmony in our native Kazakhstan. The Deputy Director of MPI "Kogamdyk kelіsіm" of Executive Office of Akim of WKO Zhamal Ikhsanova and the head of the Uighur ethnic and cultural association, a member of the APK Asiyam Usenova congratulated the audience on the main holiday - the Independence Day of Kazakhstan.    

"The West - Kazakhstan region is inhabited by more than 90 representatives of various ethnic groups, among them a few is the Uighurs, but despite this, we are working for the good of our native Kazakhstan in all spheres of economy and culture, education and medicine. We are working hard to maintain the traditions and culture of our ethnic group. To do this, all the conditions are established in the House of Friendship. All this is thanks to the wise policy of the Head of State," - Asiyam Usenova said.

During the ceremony of the holiday the tables of Uighur dishes were set, which are so fond of the Urals, a video about the history of the ancient people of the Uighurs were translated into the hall for the youth

It should be noted that for the second year with the support of akimat of West - Kazakhstan region the event "Days of ethnic groups" has been held, Uighur ECA was organized in early 2004.
