In the concert hall "Dostyk" of the regional Friendship House was held a celebratory program devoted to the 15th anniversary of the branch "Irtysh line" of Regional public association "Union of Cossacks of the steppe."

The event was attended by members of the ANC, government representatives, ethnic and cultural associations, residents and visitors and the media.

During the anniversary day, all the creative teams of the public association showed their achievements and skills in the performance of songs and dances. Among them were the children's vocal Cossack ensemble "Vesna" (art director Vera Kovenya), Cossack ensemble song "Irtysh" (Artistic director Polina Engel), the People's Cossack Choir "Irtysh Cossacks" (art director Vera Kovenya), People's Cossack ensemble "Volya" (artistic director Marina Nemtseva) dance ensemble "Volnica"(artistic Director Vladimir Fedosov).

The hottest wishes and congratulations were expressed by deputy akim M.M. Begentaev.

For the hard work and respect for the culture and traditions of the Cossacks diploma of akim of the region was awarded Kovenya Vera, letters of thanks from akim of the region: Polina Engel and Vladimir Ilyich Fedosov.

Also, during the event, letters of thanks were awarded by regional maslikhat to: Fokin Vladimir Nikolaevich, Petrova Maria Alexandrovna, Starodubova Irina, Dmitry  Kalinichenko; letters of thanks of akim of Pavlodar to: Nemtseva Marina, Tyurmorezova Larisa; letter of thanks from the city maslikhat were awarded to: Borina Valentina and Eschenkova Svetlana.

Numerous guests, who had barely enough room in the concert hall, on this festive day, celebrated not one, but two anniversaries! There were loud cheers for folk choir "Irtysh Cossacks", which just celebrated its 15th anniversary!

People's Cossack ensemble "Irtysh Cossacks" was established in 2001. Head of ensemble is Kovenya Vera. Over the years, Cossack Choir has performed in many venues of the city; it is an active participant in carrying out various holidays, as the Day of Unity of Kazakhstan people, Nauryz holiday, Republic Day, Constitution Day and Maslenitsa. Choir "Irtysh Cossacks" repeatedly became the winner and laureate of various choral festivals in the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad.

Festive date of branch "Irtysh line" takes place in the anniversary year of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the independence of our country, we have made considerable: to build a strong state, we created one of the most dynamic economies and improved living standards. And as the President, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, said: "Friendship of peoples, mutual understanding and solidarity - that's the basis on which we build a new Kazakhstan!".

Jubilee extravaganza was filled with the wishes of the creative growth of ECA all teams, our country Kazakhstan prosperity and success in all your endeavors! At the end of event Folk Choir "Irtysh Cossacks" presented song "Rejoice and Sing."

The revival of the Cossacks in Pavlodar started in the 90s. 1994 was the first in the history of the modern Cossacks circle of Pavlodar region. October 12, 2001 the merger was registered as a regional public association "Union of Cossacks of the steppe", "Irtysh line". In 2007, the public association "Union of Cossacks of the steppe" joined the Assembly of Kazakhstan people in the area.

In November 2009, the young Cossacks organized youth wing of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. Young has been studying the customs and traditions of the Cossacks, studies Cossack dances and songs, traditional Cossack cuisine and handicrafts, as well as engaged in fencing on sabers, whips and peaks, understands the basics of trick riding on horses. Cossacks actively participate in all activities of urban and regional importance.

Today, there is Cossack Museum and six creative teams in a public association.
