NUR-SULTAN – Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan’s First President addressed to people to support the actions of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the Government, which are being implemented these days to combat the spread of coronavirus outbreak.

The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan calls on all citizens to respond with concrete actions to Yelbasy's appeal and organize work to support those who need help the most in this difficult time.

In this regard, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan organized a charity event "Biz Birgemiz!" for the distribution of protective medical masks to socially vulnerable residents of the regions, large families and elderly people.

The action was attended by patrons and philanthropists of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, chairmen of ethno-cultural associations, volunteers and concerned citizens.

To date more than 200 families have received material assistance and support thanks to joint efforts. A total of more than 63,000 masks have been distributed in the regions.

Some 3,500 masks worth over 600,000 tenge have been distributed in Nur-Sultan.

Patrons of Almaty region provided material support for the purchase of 10,000 masks.

7000 masks were distributed by representatives of Shymkent APK.

Members of the Assembly of Karaganda Region helped to purchase 7000 masks and 96 food kits for veterans and the poor.

Volunteers of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of East Kazakhstan region purchased masks at the expense of charitable means and also organized their sewing by volunteers. In total it is planned to distribute 10 000 masks across the region.

More than 2000 masks were sewn and distributed by volunteers of Mangystau region.

Representatives of the Assembly of Zhambyl region provided material assistance to 53 families, distributed 2630 masks and 325 antiseptic products.

Volunteers from the Center of Volunteer movement of APK of Kostanay region became assistants for city polyclinics, having responded to the call of medical institutions for the help in distribution of free medicines to pensioners and veterans of the Great Patriotic War and have organized delivery more than to 50 addresses.

In the House of Friendship of Kyzylorda region by youth volunteers at the expense of funds collected by activists of the Assembly and not indifferent citizens, it was organized sewing of 10,000 masks.

Members of the Volunteer Club of the North-Kazakhstan region, the Center for Volunteer Movement of the Assembly organized distribution of information leaflets in the streets, shopping malls, centers, medical institutions and other places of mass gathering.

The leaflets contain information on the precautions everyone should take to prevent infection with coronavirus. In addition, the volunteers inform the public about the possibility of buying food, processing and obtaining documents online at the Central Election Offices.

The volunteers deliver medicines to pensioners, disabled people and others who need them.

There is an organized sewing of masks at home, which will also be distributed to those in need. A total of 10,000 masks are planned to be provided in the region.
