November 28 this year in the musical and drama theater named after N. Bekezhanov held a gala evening "80 years of living Koreans in Kazakhstan", organized by the regional branch of the "Association of Koreans of Kazakhstan" with the support of the regional assembly of the people of Kazakhstan. Within the framework of the solemn evening, there was a photo exhibition of the famous Korean photographer Kim Jin Sok.

The deputy akim of the region Ruslan Rustemov, the General Consul of the Republic of Korea in Almaty Chzhong Sin Ming, Consul Lee Meing Dzhe, the responsible employees of the Korean Korean ethno-cultural association, the Korean cultural center at the Korean Embassy in Kazakhstan, the vocal group "Bidangil" of the city of Almaty, leaders and activists of regional ethno-cultural associations, representatives of the academic community and other guests.

It should be noted that the resettlement of Koreans to Kazakhstan has had a beneficial effect on the development of Kazakhstan's agriculture. According to new information, 104 Korean collective farms out of 30856 people, connected with agriculture, were moved to Kazakhstan. At the same time, 13 collective farms of fisheries, 10,782 workers, 1,507 employees and many other members of various collective farms, artel workers. On August 21, 1937, according to the secret decision of the Kremlin, the deportation of representatives of the Korean ethnos to Kazakhstan began. Of the Far East 90 echelons relocated 20,789 families, or 98,454 representatives of the Korean ethnos.

Among them there are heroes of the Korean people - Hon Bom Do, Ge Bon U, Tsai Den Hak. In those years, the socio-political situation for the Kazakh people was not easy. The people have recently experienced a mass famine, false accusations by the enemies of the people, witnessed ongoing political repression. Settlers in gratitude to the Kazakh people, the country, the earth worked hard. In particular, they have achieved significant success in rice growing. The leadership, which drew attention to these works, appropriated the title of Hero of Labor to 28 citizens of the Korean ethnos in the region.

Out of the Shieli district came out 28, from the Akmaia alone - 16 Heroes of Labor, such data on the republic are extremely rare. Now their portraits are located on the alley of honorable citizens of the Shieli district. Representatives of various ethnic groups have kept in mind the attention, care and love of the Kazakh people, help in the difficult wintering period.

80 years ago, representatives of the Korean ethnos deported to the region from the Far East, with productive work, contributed to reducing all the hardships of the era. In difficult times they opened friendly embrace, united with the local Kazakh people who sheltered them, began to live in peace and harmony, to work in all sectors, to make a significant contribution to the development of the country.

At today's gala evening their descendants were awarded with letters of thanks on behalf of the akim of the region Krymbek Kusherbayev.

In the framework of the solemn evening, good wishes were said from guests, a concert was held.
