This year Tupkaragan district turns 25 years old. Along with this holiday, the museum of Taras Shevchenko in Mangistau celebrates its 85th anniversary. Employees of the memorial complex prepared a literary and musical composition and excursion for visitors.

Deputy Mayor of Mangistau oblast Maksim Skakov, representatives of the Ukrainian embassy in Kazakhstan, representatives, chairmen, the creative staff of the Ukrainian ECO named after M.N. T.G. Shevchenko, members of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the event is to strengthen the friendship of the peoples between the two countries.

Organizers of the event covered the table with traditional treats for the guests. As soon as the delegation arrived on the spot, they were given a warm welcome: guests were treated with national dishes - shubat and baursaks. Later the guests visited the museum complex named after T.G. Shevchenko and laid flowers at the monument to the kobza player.

During the event, poems of akyn Taras were read in Kazakh, Russian and Ukrainian languages. From the first secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Kazakhstan, Koval Vladimir Mikhailovich, the poet's books in two languages were presented to the museum fund and the central library.

Further, in the concert program "Dostikta zhok-shekara" the Ukrainian ethno-cultural association on behalf of the Ukrainian people expressed their gratitude to the staff of the museum, the heads of the Tupkaragan region and handed out letters of appreciation and valuable prizes.

"Today we have a big event - 85 years of the Taras Shevchenko Museum. It seems that we recently celebrated the 80th anniversary, and now it's been 5 years. I am grateful to all the staff of the museum for the fact that they cherish the memory of great people. "Akin Tarazi" - that was the name of his Kazakhs. This man is the first ambassador between Ukraine and Kazakhstan. And the friendship between our peoples is growing stronger. Today guests from different regions came and they all express gratitude to the Kazakh people, - said T.S. Lesnichenko, chairman of the Ukrainian ethno-cultural association im.T.G. Shevchenko.
