On August 1, an Agreement on cooperation between the Republican youth organization “Zharasym” at Assembly of people of Kazakhstan and Youth Assembly of people of Tatarstan was signed in Kazan.

Kazakh delegation visited the House of friendship of the people of Tatarstan, where they got acquainted with the work of the Assembly and its youth wing. During this visit, a meeting was held with the Director of the House of friendship, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Irek Sharipov, who noted the special role of modern youth in the activities of the Assembly and emphasized the importance of this agreement. Sagit Jakssybayev, Chairman of the National Cultural Autonomy of Kazakhs “Kazakhstan” delivered a welcoming speech to the guests. He told about the life of the Kazakh national society working in Tatarstan, history of the Assembly of people of Tatarstan and life of Kazakh students studying in Kazan.

Later, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, joint projects and shared ideas on strengthening cultural and business contacts between the two assemblies. Deputy Chairman of the youth movement “Zhangyru zholy”, Chairman of the Republican youth organization “Zharasym” at APK Timur Jumurbayev took part from the youth wing of Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the regional headquarters of Pavlodar region Republican youth movement “Zhangyru zholy”, Deputy of Pavlodar regional maslikhat Elina Pauli, Chairman of the regional headquarters in Almaty region Republican youth movement “Zhangyru zholy” Rufina Ussanova, activists of the youth movement.

Timur Jumurbayev told about the youth projects of APK, noted those areas where youth organizations could undertake active collaboration. After the signing ceremony, delegation presented valuable gifts and literature to the house of friendship. Also on behalf of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan the dombra with the APK logo was presented as a gift to the national society of Kazakhs in Tatarstan.

After that, delegation of the youth wing of the APK visited Kazan Federal University, where they laid flowers at the memorial plaque of a prominent Kazakh statesman, philanthropist, leader of the Bukey Horde Zhangir Khan, who was elected an Honorary member of Kazan Imperial University in 1844.

T. Jumurbayev said: “It was important for us to visit the plaque to the great son of our people, educator Zhangir Khan, who headed the Bukeн Horde in different years, that was part of the Russian Empire. Today in Kazakhstan, a project called “Sacred heritage of the country of the great steppe” is being implemented. According to the programme, we study our history, visit sacred places of special importance for all the people of Kazakhstan”.

In the framework of the project “Sacred heritage of the country of the great steppe” members of the youth movement honored the memory of the great compatriot and got acquainted with the history of the University. Also, activists of the movement together with Director of the Department of external relations of KPFU Andrey Krylov visited the Museum, where the history of Kazan University, the oldest University in Russia, is presented in detail.
