On September 8, in the Aktau Marriage Building, members of the Council of Mothers, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the communal state institution "Kogamdyk kelisim" of the Akim of the Mangistau Oblast, organized an event for the transfer of white handkerchiefs from mothers to young brides at the time of marriage registration.

At the heart of the action "Ak oramal" lies the ancient custom of reconciliation: when a woman strips her head and throws her handkerchief between conflicting parties, then the parties to the conflict must stop.

During the event, Shakenova Dametken, a member of the Mothers Council, wished the newlyweds a happy family, to set an example for the younger generation and to preserve peace and harmony in every way, regardless of their ethnic origin, religious beliefs and social differences. And also, volunteers of the public foundation "Baisheshek" organized a flashmob in honor of young couples.
