of victims of political repression and hunger to the people of Kazakhstan

On the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression and Hunger, we, participants of the International Forum "Memory for the Future", implemented by the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in 2010, note that historical memory is a key component of public consciousness of the people!

The head of state in the article "Looking into the Future: Modernizing Public Consciousness" says: "Every nation draws its lessons from history. And the lessons of the twentieth century are tragic for our people. And we must clearly understand the lessons of history. "

With a view to perpetuating the memory of the victims of political repression in Kazakhstan by the Decree of President Nazarbaev N.A. dated April 5, 1997, May 31 was declared the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repressions.

This year many Kazakhstani ethnic groups celebrate 80 years of mass deportation to Kazakhstan.

Memorial Day is the respect and preservation of the common history, the creator of which was the polyethnic people of Kazakhstan.

Memorial Day is a symbol of liberation from the totalitarian regime, the establishment of which cost millions of human lives. For the people of Kazakhstan, Memorial Day has a special meaning.

Crimes of the totalitarian system affected almost every ethnic group, every family.

Memorial Day is a memory of innocently repressed people who honestly and faithfully served for the prosperity of the country.

It is a civil duty of every Kazakhstani citizen to transfer this memory to our descendants, for who is a lesson of unity and harmony.

It is symbolic that the venue for the 2017 forum was Kyzylorda region, the city that was the first capital of the Kazakh ASSR.

Despite the disastrous situation, the Kazakh nation, openly hearted, has shot 1,500,000 deported Germans, Poles, Koreans, Chechens, Turks, Greeks from representatives of other ethnic groups.

It was then, on our grateful earth, the founding of a good-neighborly neighborhood was laid.

Remembrance of the fallen battlefields The Great Quality of the World today also unites the hearts of our citizens.

The memory of the critical pages of the history of the twentieth century was, is and will be consecrated for all citizens of Kazakhstan.

Unity, Peace, Stability, key principles of development of Kazakhstan, a reliable foundation for prosperity of our country.

We, the participants of the international conference "The basis of the historical memory and spiritual revival of heritage" call upon each citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan to take care of historical memory, preserve peace and harmony, work for common good and creation.

Our unity is firmly based on the community of history, on the difficulties and victories that we have gone through together!

Only constant work on oneself, which goes through qualitative changes not only material, but also spiritual component of life will make it possible to build a stable, prosperous and prosperous Kazakhstan.

Modernization, like history itself, is an ongoing process. At a new stage of development, Kazakhstan has a unique historical chance to build its own better future.

For this, the desire for renewal, pragmatism and realism, the cult of knowledge should become the key principle of our development. Anyone who does not do this will be carried by the heavy sand of history.

We call on the citizens of Kazakhstan, representatives of the scientific intelligentsia, cultural figures, civil society institutions, youth and the media: to protect our fragile world from the massive upheavals that humanity experienced twice in the 20th century, paying a huge number of victims.

Every day the relevance of using the potential of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan in the formation of historical consciousness is growing.

We appeal to political and public figures, representatives of scientific and cultural circles, mass media and public associations with the request to render all possible assistance to the Assembly's projects aimed at the education of patriotic values ​​and the formation of Kazakhstan's identity, as well as to initiate new projects for their joint implementation.

We thank the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and its Chairman - the President of the country N.A. Nazarbayev for his invaluable contribution to the preservation of historical memory, serving as a lesson for present and future generations.
