Within the framework of the joint environmental action “Guldene ber, Astana” of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan and akimats of Yessil and Almaty districts of the city, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the capital, litter picking was held.

The action took place on the territory of the House of Friendship, presented by Mangystau Region on the anniversary of the capital and on the Alley of Peace and Consent of the APK, opened on the eve of the international exhibition Expo-2017 in EXPO Park.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan – Head of Secretariat of the APK of the Executive Office of the President RK Leonid Prokopenko, APK of Astana, deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan, Deputy akim of Astana, Yermek Amanshayev, members of Scientific Expert Council of the Assembly, representatives of the city ethnic-cultural associations, RSE and MPI "Kogamdyk kelisim".

Representatives of the Republican youth movement “Zhangyru zholy”, youth organization “Zhasyl El”, Kazakhstan Students Alliance, “Astana zhastary” MPI of Astana akimat, students of the KAZGUU University, College of Kazakh University of Technology and Business, and Humanitarian-Technical College “ASU”.

As the Deputy head of the APK noted, big plans are outlined ahead. The house of friendship will hold various events with the participation of guests from all over the country. He said that in November the Scientific Expert Council of the Assembly will be held with the participation of Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalikova.

“The action is our contribution to the anniversary of the capital. The House of friendship will be a beautiful, cozy, green home for all ethnoses living in our country. Green is the colour of peace and kindness. On behalf of the Head of state, development programme of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan of Astana was adopted, which includes many different activities that open a wide field for the development of the capital APK in strengthening unity and consent in Kazakhstan. It's autumn planting. In spring, 450 more trees will be planted, which will be brought from Kostanay region (poplar). Implementing this program, the Assembly of Astana should become an example for other regions of the APK”, — L. Prokopenko said.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Board of “Astana-Zelenstroy” JSC Bibigul Bektemissova said that litter picking actions in the city were announced in the period from September 10 to October 10. The organization provided 350 seedlings of pine, spruce, birch and poplar, of which 300 pieces are planted in the Alley. According to her, they were brought from the greenhouse.

“Today we are working with the Assembly. Each participant contributes to the greening of the capital. There are about 600 thousand seedlings prepared for the city in our greenhouse of 340 hectares", — Deputy head of "Astana-Zelenstroy" said.

In addition, she explained that the trees are not bought from the outside, but are grown in greenhouses. In general, the company is working from April to October on planting trees, lawns and flower beds. Patterns and types of flowers change every year. About 25 thousand trees with land are planted in the capital every year.

Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Yury Tymoshenko called this action uniting wonderful event on greening the city, improving the environment, cleaning the air and training people to work.

Indeed, all participants of the event worked with enthusiasm. Then the young people held a spectacular flashmob to the music of different nations, which traditionally was opened with the dance "Kara zhorga".

"Our Astana will become even more green and cozy. We are one nation. We have a bright future, and all roads are open for us”, — Head of Secretariat APK summed up the event.

In conclusion of the environmental celebration were offered meals for all participants at the EXPO Park: Uzbek pilaf, a variety of food and Kazakh tea from a samovar.
