"Caravan of Friendship" went from Shymkent to Uzbekistan

A "Caravan of Friendship" has left for the Republic of Uzbekistan from the South-Kazakhstan region.

This event was realized within the framework of the Memorandum about Cooperation between the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the International Cultural Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan, signed in March during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kazakhstan.

The Memorandum envisages the implementation of joint projects and the development of events that promote cooperation in the socio-political, cultural, educational, scientific and information spheres, the strengthening and development of people's diplomacy, and the rapprochement of the peoples of the two countries.

At the ceremony of seeing off the caravan in front of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Erbol Baikonakov, the regional leader of the Public Partnership, and Zharylkasyn Aziretbergenov, the chairman of the city council of elders of Turkestan, the chairman of the regional Uzbek ethno-cultural association, the deputy of the regional maslikhat Badriddin Nishankulov spoke. They noted that the event was organized to support the article of the Head of State: "Looking into the future: modernizing public consciousness", as well as strengthening friendly relations between the two neighboring countries.

From May 2-6, 50 elders who left Uzbekistan will make a pilgrimage to Tashkent to the Tole bi grave, then they will get acquainted with the mausoleums of Amir Temir and Zhalantos Bakhadyr in Samarkand, and Bahauddin Naqshbandi in Bukhara.

Along with this, representatives of the "Friendship Caravan" will visit the International Cultural Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kazakh cultural center in Uzbekistan, as well as other historical and cultural centers where is planned a meeting with the citizens of this country.
