On thr 30-th of March, 2017 at the Central Stadium in Almaty, hosted competitions in the winter sports of presidential tests. The organizer of the event is the Department of Physical Culture and Sports with the support of KSU "Public contracts" of the apparatus of the mayor of Almaty.

About 200 sportsmen of different age categories from 8 districts of the city took part in the competitions.

Participants of the Presidential tests were welcomed by the director of KSU "Public contracts" of the apparatus of mayor of Almaty, Murunova Zh.Sh. and the head of the department of mass sports of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Almaty, Makhanbetiyarov A.M. and etc.

The start began with the construction of teams, followed by awards with letters of thanks of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Almaty, which were received by the Head Coach of the Kazakh National Student Team for Chess, an associate professor of the Physical Education Department of the KazNU named after Al-Farabi - Noskov Anatoly Aristarkhovich, who celebrated the 80th anniversary , And the Master of Sports of the international class in cross-country - Baltabayev Marat Sharipovich in connection with the 70th anniversary.

The purpose of the presidential tests is to promote healthy lifestyles, popularize sports and physical culture, as an important means of promoting the health of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In his recent speech to members of Kazakhstan's national Olympic team, President Nursultan Nazarbayev once again stressed that: "Sport is health, sport is a spirit, and sport is patriotism."

It is worth noting that sport and a healthy lifestyle are becoming more popular in Almaty. In 2016, 467 candidates for the master of sports were trained in Almaty, 268 athletes with the I sports category, 54 athletes complied with the "Master of Sport of the International Class" standard, 254 athletes complied with the "Master of Sports" standard, confirm this.

As a result of the competitions, the winners were awarded memorable gifts and certificates for the I, II and III places.
