As part of the Plan of 25 star days "Uly Dala Eli - 25 based on independent" November 24, 2016 at the secondary school № 31, summarizing the 1st stage of republican essay contest in the Kazakh language on the theme "Kazakhstan Respublikasynyn Tauelsizdigine zhyl 25".

The purpose of the event, organized by the Metropolitan Assembly of People of Kazakhstan jointly with the Department of Education of Astana, was the education of patriotism and pride in the independent Kazakhstan, the development of the ideas of independence, peace and social harmony.

The competition was attended by students of secondary, vocational schools and colleges of the capital's educational institutions, representatives of ethno-cultural associations.

The competition was attended by 2700 students from 60 schools in the capital with the Russian-language schools and 750 students of vocational schools and colleges.

At the end of the contest, the unanimous opinion of the jury 1st place was awarded to students of the school-gymnasium № 32 tarry Pauline and student of the Moscow College of Humanities Alpysbay Ain, for the creative contribution to the contest second place won the student of the Kazakh-Turkish lyceum Demisenov Aldiyar, as well as a student of the school-lyceum № 79 Torekulova Aruzhan. Third place deservedly awarded high school student number 37 Yulduz Usmanova, pupil of the school-lyceum № 59 Aldashev Aruzhan and school-gymnasium № 3 Akhmetova Asel.

It should be noted that the winners of the first phase will be focused on the second stage of the republican creative competition.
