It has long been a good tradition to gather annually in the city park of culture and rest on a Sunday day to celebrate the day of cultures of all ethno-cultural associations of the Pavlodar region every Sunday morning. This is the merit of the leaders of the regional assembly of the people of Kazakhstan. The well - planned work of the Assembly contributes to the strengthening and development of interethnic relations, mutual understanding and friendship of peoples, the formation of Kazakhstani patriotism, the preservation of cultural and historical heritage and the popularization of national cultures, customs, traditions and applied creativity of ethnic groups living in the region.

 On this festive day, the Armenian ethno-cultural association "Hayrenik" presented its program. The holiday opened with the sounds of dombra and continued with a bright concert program, in which there were not only songs and dances, but also games and contests for all comers. Pavlodar residents heard beautiful songs of the vocal group "Erebuni", a solo performed by Susanna Arakelyan and Hovsepyan Suzanne, as well as beautiful poems in different languages.

On this day the ethnocultural association "Hayrenik" decided to share with the audience a part of its native, Arian culture. The program featured a fragment of the holiday "Dzhangulum." On the eve of the holiday, the children gather flowers and make wreaths from them. Young girls and young men rise uphill before dawn, collect seven kinds of flowers, seven stones from a stream and draw water from seven streams, all this action takes place in an atmosphere of great enthusiasm, accompanied by folk songs and dances.

After this, the girls, coming down from the mountain, put the collected items in a clay or copper vessel, which is exposed for the night on the roof of the house under the moonlight, which symbolizes the connection with the cosmos. The next morning, married women lower the vessel from the roof and distribute its contents in the house, for example, the plants are given to animals, and water is used to mix the dough. In "Dzhangulum" groups of children come into each house and give out these flowers, performing traditional songs and dances. For this they receive blessing and material rewards. Sweets are bought for the money collected in this way and a celebration is arranged.

During the holiday there is also a tradition of "casting lots". Each child puts his own thing in a specially prepared jug, and the senior members of the group write down various wishes on paper, then the pitcher is filled with flower petals. Further, he voices these wishes, taking out of the jar all the things in turn. The spoken prophecy-wish refers to the master of the corresponding subject.

Further on this description, the presenters conducted the game "Casting the Draw" with the audience. Everyone who put his thing in a pitcher, received a wish. Then they were warmed up with knowledge of the national dishes of the people of Kazakhstan. To ensure that children do not get bored, a game called "The Power of a Dzhigit" was held for them. The game was attended exclusively by boys who were supposed to demonstrate their dexterity and strength. As a result of the contest, the winners were determined and all participants received sweet prizes.

At the end of the holiday, the head of the Armenian ethno-cultural society "Hayrenik" Petrosyan Elmira Benikovna made a welcoming speech. She congratulated all residents of the city on the holiday and congratulated the children and parents on the beginning of the academic year. The youngest participants of the concert, first-graders awarded memorable souvenirs and wished good schooling and excellent grades.

The organizers tried and presented the audience with a piece of their huge soul, where pride reigned for their Motherland, their people and country, their land and history.
