The Polish ethno-cultural association "Nadzieja" was founded on May 27, 1997 on the initiative of Romualda Stefanovna Gitsevich. She was fluent in Polish, Romualda Stefanovna started the work of the Sunday school, where she herself taught. Later her initiative was taken up by Irina Gvozdetskaya, who now teaches the language of all comers. In September 2012, the community was headed by Viktor Radomsky.

At the festive concert there were songs not only in Polish, performed by activists of the community - Elena and Angelica Zavatsky, Catherine Ponomareva, but also representatives from other communities of the regional Friendship House. The violinist Ekaterina Poddubnaya and the flutist Maxim Goltsvart presented their instrumental numbers to the audience.

"Let our community not be so numerous, but we try to take the most active part in the social life of the region," emphasizes Viktor Radomsky. - In 2015 the documentary exhibition "Polish diplomats in Kazakhstan in 1941-1943" was organized in the regional House of Friendship on the basis of archival documents and photographs telling about Polish diplomats and Poles who were deported to the Kustanai region, who managed to find Dmitry Legom. The exhibition was personally visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to the Republic of Korea Maciej Lang.
