October 6, 2017 for the City Day in the historical and cultural center "Kone Taraz" a celebratory event "Totidai Tarangan Tarazım" was held. It was attended by residents, guests and representatives of ethno-cultural associations of the ancient city of Taraz, whose history is 2000 years old.

The guest of the conference was the head of KGU "Kogamdyk kelisim" of the apparatus of Akim of Zhambyl region Rano Ubaydullaev: "Here, at the intersection of the routes of the Great Silk Road, the ancient cities of Otrar, Ispidzhab, Yassi, Sauran and others flourished. Each of them played a significant role in the political and economic life of the entire state. Perhaps one of the most ancient cities of our fatherland is Taraz - the "flower of the steppes", as great poets of the Middle Ages spoke of it. Day by day our small, but native, cozy, green city is transformed. I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of the City and I believe that by the efforts of every citizen Taraz, beloved by everyone, will prosper further'.

Ethnoses and nationalities in our country number about 140. But they differ from each other by traditions and customs, which were carefully preserved for many centuries. And in the ethnocultural associations of the Zhambyl region, there are a whole number of boards of masters and handicrafts. Their work could be seen and appreciated at a festive event timed to the City Day. Kirghiz, Uzbeks, Germans, Greeks, Dungans and other ECOs organized an exhibition in the square near the House of Friendship.

Then residents and guests of the city witnessed a festive concert, with the participation of talented artists of ethnocultural associations of the region. Dance groups "Үkilim" and "Guncha", Ensemble "Singing Hearts", Dunganka Feruza Musaeva and representative of the Tatar-Bashkir ECO Ruzalia Akhmetshina always take an active part in all the events of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in the Zhambyl region. And on the City Day in addition to them, the audience was pleased with the well-known Taraz duet "Ademi-Ai" and the trio "Yunchi" Dungan ECO "Vinhua" with kuyu "Kone Taraz".
