Dedicated to victims of political repression

In the village of Priishimka, Astrakhan district, Akmola region, a memorial sign to the victims of political repressions was opened as a sign of deep gratitude and respect for the people of the older generation.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of state bodies, members of the "Polacy", Astana, public figures and residents of the village, as well as students of the Polish Sunday school in the capital.

Opening the monument to the victims of political repression, the chairman of the Polish Polish society Rogovskaya E.A. noted that the monument was installed with the support of representatives of the public association "Polacy", as well as residents of the village. "The Poles were expelled from Ukraine by 14 point, which is now the village Priishimka, and our descendants need to know the tragic story of the forced relocation of their ancestors in the land of Kazakhstan", - he said in his speech Rogovskaya E.A.

Representatives of the Polish society of Astana timed the opening of the commemorative sign for the Saints Day, which is celebrated in Poland on November 1, and also expressed great gratitude to the people of Kazakhstan, noting that in those hard years of deportation few could survive without the help that the Kazakh people.

It so happened that Kazakhstan became a place of deportation for millions of Soviet citizens, and to preserve the memory of those people and this tragedy is our moral duty. The history of the village of Priishimka is inseparable from the history of Kazakhstan, where a special page in history is assigned to special settlers. 80 years ago they arrived in this place, called the 14th point. During the opening ceremony of the memorial sign, the descendants of the deportees spoke, they shared with the people present about the hardships and hardships of those times and about how much help was rendered to the deportees.

On April 28, 1936, the USSR SNK Resolution "On Immigrants from Ukraine" No. 776-120 was adopted, according to which Poles residing in Ukraine were relocated to Kazakhstan. Last year, the Poles of Kazakhstan celebrated the 80th anniversary of the resettlement from Ukraine in the steppes of Central Asia.
