18th November 2016 at the Kokshetau Palace of public consent was hosted an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of deportation of Poles in Kazakhstan.

The organizers of the event were the Public Association of Poles in Akmola region, KSU "Kogamdyk kelisim" at the Office of the akim of Akmola region.

Participants of the meeting - is deported Poles of Akmola region, representatives of regional and city akimats of Akmola Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, scientists, teachers, university students Kokshetau, representatives of the Polish Embassy in Kazakhstan and the media.

To honor the memory of victims of political repression is the main purpose of the event.

Before the beginning of the official part was the opening of the installation "House of the ancestors" in the exhibition hall of the House of Friendship Akmola regional local history museum, where there were presented with museum exhibitions household items repressed Poles and photo exhibition "Poles of Sinegorye".

At the solemn meeting dedicated to the public Kokshetau meeting with deported Poles Akmola region, made the head of the consular department of the Polish Embassy in Astana Mrs. Malgorzata Tanskaya, Deputy Head of the KSU "Kogamdyk kelisim" Manat Ismagulov, chairman of the Association of Poles in Akmola oblast Alexander Sukhovetskaya, chairman of Akmola regional Chechen-Ingush society "Vainakh" Gerihan Yandiev, Ph.D., head of the department of national history of the APC and of Kokshetau state University named after Sh.Ualikhanov Gulnar Kazhenova.

Memories of a difficult period in the life of native families shared Volodymyr Hudyma and Mary Sikora, and the granddaughter of the deported Polish Vladimir Nogachevsky Natalia acquainted the guests with archival manuscripts of his grandfather.

All guests - Poles of Akmola region received gifts.

The event concluded with showing the film by director Janos Zaorski "Sibiriada Polska", which tells about the fate of the repressed exiled Poles.
