The event was attended by the prosecutor of Akmola region, representatives of the Department of Internal Affairs, lawyers, notaries, representatives of KSU "Kogamdyk kelisim", judges of local courts, professional and non-professional mediators.

The chairman of the Akmola Regional Court, Doszhan Amirov, opening the work of the roundtable, noted that on January 28, 2011, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Mediation" was adopted, which states that mediation is a procedure for resolving a dispute (conflict) between the parties with the assistance of a mediator to achieve a mutually acceptable solution, implemented by the voluntary consent of the parties.

D. Amirov quoted the words of the speech of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev at the Sixth Congress of Judges of the Republic of Kazakhstan: "The institution of mediation is established in Kazakhstan - the process of reconciliation of the parties with the help of an extrajudicial intermediary. This creates the prerequisites for consecutive unloading of vessels from consideration of cases on which mutually acceptable solutions are possible. This institution needs to be developed and brought to the world level. "

For 7 months of the current year, the courts of the region have examined 27,454 criminal, civil and administrative cases, of which, with mediation, 851 cases, which is 3.1 percent, the republican figure is 4.0 percent, in this connection it is necessary to intensify the work in this region direction, said D. Amirov.

In order to develop conciliatory procedures, the Akmola regional court jointly with the KGU "Kogamdyk kelisim" developed the functionality on the website of the House of Friendship - the tab "Application to the mediator". On the work of the tab, the head of the Information Technologies and Information Resources Protection Department of the Administrator of the Courts for the Akmola region A.Makishev told in detail.

At the end of the round table, the participants discussed the issues of increasing the number of non-professional mediators and made relevant proposals.
