September 7, 2017 Astana held an environmental action of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan "Green Belt of Astana".

The purpose of the environmental action is to popularize the recreational potential of the green belt of Astana, to inculcate a cautious attitude to the natural wealth of Kazakhstan, the propagation of a healthy lifestyle, to the younger generation.

Speaking to the participants of the action, Deputy Chairman and Head of the ANC Secretariat Darkhan Mynbay noted that Astana is striving to become not only one of the most innovative, logistically, structurally and architecturally verified, but also one of the most comfortable and attractive cities for life, not only in Kazakhstan, but also in the whole of Central Asia. And confirmation of this is the project on the initiative of the Head of State to create a man-made "green belt" around Astana.

He stressed that the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan contributes to the implementation of this program, and that such actions will contribute to the formation of a new ecological culture among the people of Kazakhstan, the promotion of a healthy and active lifestyle, and the awareness of the need for a caring and caring attitude to nature.

The Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Nysanbayev gave a detailed account of the history of the creation of the "green belt", the specifics of forest management in the region and ongoing work to conserve and increase the area of ​​green spaces.

The event was also attended by Majilis deputies led by Deputy Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan VK Bezhko, Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Nysanbayev, members of the ANC, representatives of the RSU "Kokhmady Kelisim" under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Natural Resource Management and Akimat Astana, "Astana Ormany" LLP, ethnocultural associations and youth of the capital.

Within the framework of the event the guests and participants of the action took part in the planting of seedlings according to the project "Reconstruction and creation of the green belt of the 2nd stage".
