On the 29-th of March, 2017, the National Science Center for Motherhood and Childhood held an expanded meeting of the Astana City Council on Public Awareness on the topic: "Tasks of the Public Harmony Councils in the activities of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan".

The event was attended by members of the Soviets, the Astana city branch of the party "Nur Otan", deputies of the maslikhat of the city and leaders of ethno-cultural associations.

During the meeting, issues of interaction between the deputy group of the maslikhat of the city of Astana with the Soviets and the Astana city branch of the party "Nur Otan" were touched upon.

Speaking about the common tasks of the Soviets in the development of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the chairman of the City Council, Alpeisov Amirzhan, said: "The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is the active body of the Council of Public Accord. On the work of the Council, it is possible to evaluate the work of the mayor and other public institutions of specific regions. The scope of the work of the Soviets is multifaceted; it is possible to note here the solution of unemployment issues, work with veterans, trade union and political organizations".

The main expert of the sector and control of the RSU "Public contracts" under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Amangosov Yerkebulan, told about the activity of the Council as an institution of interaction between the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and the public: "At the moment, the Public Conciliation Council closely interacts with various structures of the ANC, including the Council of Mothers, elder and with other various bodies ".

"The work of our Council is reduced to the coordination and organization of charitable activities, to the identification of the category of the population in need of any assistance, to control the civil stability of labor collectives. I think that this is an indicator of the success of the activities of state bodies as a whole," added Kusainova Lyzatat, the head of the Secretariat of the ANC in Astana.

As a result of the roundtable, recommendations were made on the active use of the potential of the Soviets in promoting the foundations of Kazakhstan's identity in labor collectives, public and non-governmental organizations, developing the interaction of the Soviets with the Astana city branch of the “Nur Otan”, trade union and non-governmental organizations.

Note that in 2013, by the decision of the XX session of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, were created the Soviets of Public Accord. In Kazakhstan, there are 2207. Today there are 5 Soviets in the city of Astana, of which 1 city and 4 territorial, on the basis of LLP "Concern "Tsesna-Astyk ", corporative Foundation "University Medical Center", JSC "Akmola Carriage Repair Plant" SCP "Astana Water Channel".
