On April 15, the regional German ethnocultural association "Wiedergeburt" held the Day of Ethnos "Frohe Ostern". It is timed to the holiday of the German Easter, which is celebrated on the 16-th of April this year.

Deputy mayor of the region Ruslan Rustemov, head of the secretariat of the regional assembly Lyalya Tureshova, representatives of all ethno-cultural associations and mass media took part in the event.

The deputy mayor of the region Ruslan Rustemov congratulated all gathered with a holiday. Also the head of the regional German ethno-cultural association Irina Shek and other leaders of ethno cultural associations spoke with kind wishes at the celebration.

The spectators were introduced to the customs and traditions of the celebration of German Easter, songs and dances. For a long time, the Ostern festival was celebrated with the advent of spring, and the goddess of spring was called Ostera in Germany. Usually this holiday is celebrated every year in late March or early April, on Sunday after the vernal equinox and the first full moon.

There are several symbols of the holiday in German Easter: Easter eggs, as a symbol of the birth of life; Easter light is usually a candle, as a symbol of light; Spring flower daffodil, as a symbol of the sun; Easter Hare, as a symbol of fertility and prosperity. Bunny is a very smart animal, likes to jump and play.

Representatives of the German ethnic group believe that a bright holiday that comes along with the spring rays of the sun brings light, love, hope and renewal.

All doors are friendly open, and everyone is ready to treat anyone who enters the house in the days of Easter. They wish each other much happiness, much health, vivacity and fun, and also that the Hare brings colorful eggs and gifts every year. Maybe, many do not believe this, but this nice custom inspires people with hope for everything good!

During the holiday, were organized various games, flash mobs and were distributed Easter eggs.
