May 31, 2017 by tradition in Aktobe with the participation of Mayor of the region Berdybek Saparbayev on the Camel's Mount, at the burial place of the innocently shot, they honored the memory of the victims of political repression and hunger. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the regional and city akimat, deputies of the maslikhat, the secretariat of the regional Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and ethno-cultural associations, KSU "Public contracts", representatives of law enforcement bodies and religion, descendants of innocent victims of political repression and hunger. According to various sources, over seven thousand people were repressed in the Aktobe region, and during the great famine of 1932-33. About two or three million people died.

During the rally in his speech the head of the region Berdybek Saparbayev said:

- Our goal is to preserve that stability and harmony in the society. And never forget and honor the memory of the innocent victims of those terrible years.

Also at the meeting was the chairman of the council of elders of the ethno-cultural association Chechen-Ingush "Vainakh", a descendant of victims of political persecution Sagaev Khasan Yusupovich:

- In those terrible years, the Kazakhs shared the last piece of bread, and saved from hundreds of deaths, I just make sure that this never happens again, let there be peace.
