On November 26, the official opening of the Uzbek Sunday school "ZIE" was held at the Moscow school - lyceum No. 53. The event was held as part of the celebration of the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the implementation of the concept of the program "Ryhani zhangiry".

The deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Absatirov K.G., Karataev F.A., the head of the Education Department of the city of Astana Zhangozin A.K., the members of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, public figures, the heads of the capital's ethno-cultural and youth associations took part in the event.

After the official opening of the school "ZIE" guests visited the open class of the uzbek language and history. During the lesson, the children told poems and proverbs about their love for the Motherland, sang songs in their native language.

A bright continuation of the event was a concert program prepared by an ethno-cultural association, which the grown-ups and small masters of dance and vocal presented to the audience an unforgettable holiday.

During the festive event, an exhibition and video was shown about the activities of the PA "Uzbek Ethno-Cultural Center of Astana", as well as tasting of national Uzbek dishes.

With 24 ethno-cultural associations of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan in Astana, there are 12 Sunday schools. Sunday School "ZIE" is focused on teaching the preservation and development of the Uzbek language and culture, the formation of interest in the mother tongue, the organization of children's creative leisure, the education of patriotic self-awareness among the younger generation.

An Uzbek Sunday school can be visited by children aged 3 to 12 years. Every Sunday in the morning teachers wait for their pupils to help them enrich their intellectual, creative and cultural potential, instill in them a sense of Kazakhstani patriotism. Feature of this Sunday school is teaching in Kazakh, Uzbek, English and Russian languages, in addition, lessons are taught on the musical instrument - doira and choreography.
