On September 28, 2017, the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the International Forum of Scientists and Experts: "The Modern Polyethnic State: National Models and Development Strategies".

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman - Head of the ANC Secretariat Darkhan Mynbay, Majilis deputies, members of the ANC Council, representatives of state bodies and ethno-cultural associations.

Foreign experts from the KPR, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, as well as well-known domestic experts in the sphere of international relations, became the speakers of the forum.

In his welcoming speech, Darkhan Mynbay, noting the peculiarity of this year, drew the attention of the participants to the successes of the state in economic, political modernization, as well as to the events held in the framework of the spiritual modernization of society. The Vice-Chairman cited the example of people's wisdom that success is achieved where unity reigns. "Thanks to the unity of the people, we successfully held the EXPO-2017 exhibition, this Forum is a continuation of those important events," he noted.

Also, citing the words of the Leader of the Nation at the festival of ethnocultural associations of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan "25 years of peace and harmony": "The main pillar of Independence is peace and harmony, stability and tranquility. Thanks to them we created the state, raised the level of its development, improved the welfare of the people. And the Assembly is an unshakable foundation of our unity, "D. Mynbay added that Kazakhstan, during its independence to the whole world, that a polyethnic country in which peace and harmony reigns all the evils avoid.

Doctor of philosophical sciences, professor from the Republic of Belarus M.A. Mozheiko noting that the modern globalization process changes our ideas about cultural polymorphism and ethnic diversity, expressed its opinion on the processes of cultural development in the age of globalization.

Also at the forum were discussed the issues of cultural and philosophical interpretation of the experience of the formation of civil identity in modern conditions, the designation of the place of the Kazakhstan model of public harmony and national unity of N. Nazarbayev and its role in the face of the growing challenges of the present, as well as the disclosure of the role of the Institute of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in modernization of public consciousness.

Based on the results of the forum, practical recommendations were developed to preserve and enhance cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue both in Kazakhstan and throughout the world.

The event was organized by the Scientific and Expert Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, with the participation of the Center for the Study of Interethnic and Inter-Confessional Relations in the Central Asian Region of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
