In the region was launched an ethnotour – "Legends of the Great Steppe", organized by the Secretariat of the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, Zhambyl region in conjunction with the municipal public institution "Kogamdyk kelіsіm" and akim apparatus. This project is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Delegation of the head of department on social and public KSU "Kogamdyk kelіsіm" events Kamala Narbatyrova, methodologist of the organization, master of arts and crafts Faith Maykovich, methodist youth worker Darya Burmakina visited Talas, Sarysus, Baizak, Zhambyl, and T.Ryskulovsky Merke districts of the region.

In each area of the ethnotour the work began with a press conference including representatives of ethnocultural associations of the district, masters of arts and crafts.

The project in the children's health camps with the ethnotour members of the group conducted a tolerance lesson to children. "We, Kazakhstanis - the children of the Great Steppe." The children answered questions related to the history of our young Republic and folk arts. The participants were able to speak openly not only to repeat the studied material but also unleashed their creativity. Methodist D. Burmakina conducted a cultural and cognitive play with children on the theme of "The Great Silk Road - our cultural heritage," flighing paper planes with children.

- Our sacred land of ancient times was called the Great Steppe, and we are the children of the Great Steppe. She sang songs of akyns, transforming people's love to a homeland, - said Kamal Kaskyrbaevich. - I believe that one should always keep and maintain the culture of the people that left us, our ancestors. I urge you to take an active part in contributing to the "Peace and harmony" Palace Museum with ancient artifacts kept in private hands.

Also, the master of arts and crafts Faith Maykovich conducted a workshop with skilled workers of all areas, "Heritage family collection is a factor shaping the culture of the society", sharing the artifacts, which are already presented in the museum, acquainted with the work and exhibits stored in the museum at the House of Friendship.

According to Kamal Narbatyrova main purpose of the event is to promote the historical heritage of the Kazakhstan Silk Road, education of civic identity and selection of exhibits for the museum of ethnic cultures of regional Palace for "Peace and Accord".
